As early as the apostolic period, the church has not had lack of false prophets and false teachers arising from its ranks. One of the earliest were the Nicolaitans, condemned in Revelation 2:5 and 15 for spreading sexual and spiritual immorality in the churches in Ephesus and Pergamum. About 150 A.D., Montanus, another popular false prophet arose in Phrygia (modern-day Turkey), taught that the Holy Spirit revealed to him that Christ will return soon and inaugurate his kingdom in his city.
Almost 2,000 years later, there is yet another false prophet more audacious in his heresies and blasphemies than any of his predecessors. His name is Apollo Quiboloy, founder of Kingdom of Jesus Christ, Name Above Every Name, a prosperity gospel cult in the Philippines. Since founding it in 1985 in Davao City (we lived there from 1995-2001), Quiboloy now claims 6 million followers (Filipino cults are known for inflating their numbers). Like Montanus, he also prophesies that Davao City will be the New Jerusalem or City of God, “the water center of the world.”
Here’s the full version of the above video telecast by ABC News, “The New Son of God?”.
Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry summarizes Quiboloy’s other heretical teachings:
1. General
Oneness Pentecostalism leanings with a denial of the Trinity. [Oneness Pentecostals teach the ancient heresy of modalism: that God revealed himself as Father in the Old Testament, as the Son in Jesus in the New Testament, and as the Holy Spirit after Christ’s earthly ministry.]
Prosperity Theology
Radical exclusivism
2. Jesus
Jesus was the savior for the Jews and Quiboloy is the savior for the Gentiles.
Quiboloy makes himself equal to Jesus by calling himself a begotten Son and the Son of God. Also, Quiboloy claimed to be ushered into sonship in 2003 in the same sense that Jesus has eternal sonship.
Quiboloy is in a state of perfection similar to that which Adam experienced before the Fall.
3. Fall
Serpent Seed Doctrine: Eve had sex with the serpent in the Garden to cause the Fall.
4. Salvation
We can only have salvation by acknowledging ‘Pastor’ Quiboloy as the Son of God.
God’s work of salvation was not finished at the cross.
5. Bible
Authoritative in so far as it is interpreted by Quiboloy.
Quiboloy is seeking to add a new written revelation to the Bible in his Book of Fulfillment.
Quiboloy constantly twists Scripture to support his erroneous doctrines.
Just like his American prosperity gospel mentors, Quiboloy also rose from rags to filthy rich. The Apostle Paul warns us in 2 Thessalonians 2: 3-4,
Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
Like Montanus, Quiboloy is surely a forerunner in our generation of this final “son of destruction.”

his mark/his mare/and his grim three gifts where given to him the son of hate but no title was bestowed on the ninth day.
power/grail/sheild/fearless eye four signs given before hidden from the light.
Quibuloy is deceived so are his followers. Is there any ways Christians to halt the influx of membership going to hell?
It seems to me that he isn’t married. What a pity as he doesn’t have a wife to support his claim of being sinless.
“Quiboloy and Joseph Smith have alot in common. Â Satan sure takes advantage of people’s ignorance!!”
We know that it’s Satan’s work when multi-millionaire heretics can convince millions of people that they care so much for the poor. Only Satan could do such a wicked “wonder.”
