Calvin 500 Symposium in the Philippines

500th John CalvinPresbyterian Theological Seminary is holding a symposium to commemorate the 500th Birthday Anniversary of John Calvin (1509-1564) on October 9-10, 2009 in its campus in Dasmariñas, Cavite, Philippines. The main keynote speaker is Dr. I. John Hesselink, former president of Western Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and a well-respected scholar on Calvin studies.

I have been invited to speak in one of the group sessions in the afternoon of the second day on the topic “Calvin and the Reformation of Worship.”

      If you’re in or near Metro Manila, you can attend the Horton Conference in January and meet many like-minded people. And maybe even find a church home if you don’t have one.
